Haringey Chapter at National POR Conference 2016

Patron of Reading: Haringey Chapter rounded off another inspiring National Conference for the Patron of Reading Scheme.

The conference in Manchester showcased a huge range of approaches to promoting reading for pleasure. We heard from authors, storytellers, teachers and librarians. We were shown the power of film and poetry and the importance of book choices in promoting reading for pleasure and empathy. We even took part in a simulated patron of reading workshop with the 2 Steves (Vikings, Shakespeare and Chihuahuas – all before 10am…) Continue reading
